On a stage strewn with soft black material, Erika Zueneli engages a body on the alert, traversed by multiple desires and tensions. Instability and fragility inhabit a vibrant being, resolutely subjected to contrary winds, in almost permanent re-elaboration. There are hardly any pauses or suspensions in this odyssey filled with images and furtive sensations, tense or calm.
Si vis pacem, para bellum, "If you want peace, prepare for war". Based on this idea of preparing for battle, the choreographer delivers a solo with mixed energies, a kaleidoscopic reflection of a tenacity that is both vain and indispensable, in which a thousand figures of the warrior woman that she is (not) appear.
