Éléonore Valère-Lachky

Courir les yeux fermés au bord d'un ravin

In a ten-minute solo intended for public spaces, Éléonore Valère‑Lachky seeks to sound the alarm about the impact our behaviour has on the environment. The dance positions, which move from the ground to crawling and then a triumphant return to the vertical, are symbols of the life force, action and resistance. They express committed support for scientific discourse which, in the heart of the city, attempts to denounce and counteract the invasive, alienating and misleading discourse of advertising. An artistic gesture made during a state of emergency, like an alarm sounded on the brink of collapse, at the edge of the abyss.
